Safeguarding

At NLNL we comply with all safeguarding policies from England Netball, who are firmly committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people to play netball. They accept their responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying.  With this in mind, England Netball has developed a Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball Policy, Procedures and Guidelines that applies to all individuals involved in netball whether in a paid or voluntary capacity.

If you need to report a concern, allegation, incident or have a complaint, please contact our Welfare Officer.   All reports and concerns received by NLNL are fully confidential.  We can support you with confidential advice and guidance, or if you want to report something, but don’t want to take the investigation any further, we can note the nature of the concern which helps us to build up a picture of any emerging difficulties being experienced in clubs.  If you choose not to log your concern, you may be putting others at risk of the same abuse as perpetrators of bullying will rarely improve their behaviour unless they are reproached.
